Iceland September 2025

Our Rotary Friendship Exchange in Iceland was the perfect blend of travel and connection—seeing a country not as tourists, but as welcomed friends. Hosted by generous Icelandic Rotarians, we were introduced to daily life, local traditions, and hidden gems we would never have found on our own. From wandering Reykjavík, coffee on Laugavegur, rainbows dancing at Gullfoss, and continents colliding at Þingvellir, to soaking together in the Blue Lagoon, every experience was enriched by friendship.

In Grindavík, we saw how close people live to nature’s power, and in Akureyri we shared meals, laughter, and Rotary stories that quickly felt like family. Visits to places like Goðafoss, schools, and Rotary gatherings reminded us that while landscapes may differ, Rotary values are universal. Iceland amazed us, but it was the Rotary friendships that made the journey truly unforgettable.
