TOURNAMENT RAISES $5,200.00 FOR SERVICE PROJECTS

The Rotary Club of Kingston held its first Fun Charity Pickleball Tournament in Bath on Sunday 14 August.
 
The weather cooperated and under blue skies more than 90 participants competed in three divisions: Novice, Intermediate and Open.

The athletes competed as individuals in this mixed event, and each played six 15-minute timed games, switching partners after each game. The winners were decided by calculating the scores for and against each player.
 
There was also a silent auction of many donated items, a raffle of a gift basket filled with assorted chocolates, and a 50/50 draw. CKWS provided music with their cruiser, and Global News covered the event which was broadcast later that evening.

The event was organized under the leadership of Rtn. Pete Burrell and run by volunteers and all proceeds will be used by the Rotary Club to support projects both local and international. The club also appreciates the support of the following Kingston businesses:
